5 Day Colt Starting Clinic

Join Dan Steers from Double Dan Horsemanship as he conducts a 5 Day Colt Starting Camp

Using the training techniques developed and taught by Double Dan Horsemanship, Dan Steers has competed and won colt starting competitions worldwide. During this 5 day clinic you and your young horse will work one on one with Dan Steers where you will be shown how to apply ground control, desensitisation, long reining and body control under saddle to start a horse on a successful ridden career.

You will need to bring an unbroken horse to this clinic to work with over the 5 days. The horse needs to be of suitable age and condition for you to progress to riding it. This clinic will cover mouthing, saddling and mounting for the first time.

Limited to 8 positions  (Mares & geldings most certainly welcome)

Costs:

Participant with their horse $TBA for 5 days

This includes; lunch, morning and afternoon teas, bush camping for riders and a yard for one horse.

Fence sitters welcome.

Come along to very scenic Capricorn Equestrian Centre and enjoy our facilities whilst learning the Double Dan techniques. Set on 500 acres with a 60 x 60 m fenced sand arena and second dressage arena there is plenty of riding space, covered viewing gallery, just byo a comfy chair for fence sitting.

 TBA  Dan Steers will also be presenting a horsemanship clinic which will include his ground control and body control under saddle for Level 1 (and Level 2 group if we have enough interest)
